Dáša -DashaThe book was created as a diploma project in the Illustration and Graphics studio at UMPRUM.  The pony Dasha lives in the yard and has never seen the world outside. She finds joy in little things, in her routines and certainties. She enjoys winter and watching the sunsets. Every year in the yard feels the same, but this year something is different – the snow she longs for never comes, and it awakens feelings in Dasha she has never experienced before. It addresses themes of climate change, solitude, and being an outsider, and then explores motifs of boredom, routine, and waiting. The content is aimed at a young audience.
Part of the work was printed as a five-color offset edition in the UMPRUM workshops. An accompanying wall installation includes inspirational materials, sketches, images, and photographs printed using acetone transfer onto small calendar-like sheets. The wall, table, and shelf in the installation are decorated using the napkin technique, known as decoupage.
